This past weekend I got the chance to stop into The Seventh Letter flagship store on Fairfax Ave in Los Angeles and check out the Chief Keef art exhibit they had on display before it’s over. There were a few pieces that were creative, a few that were funny, but nothing I would really put a red dot on.
I mean, for one, I’m not a huge Chief Keef fan, and secondly, the works didn’t seem pieces that you would collect. That’s not to say the pieces weren’t well thought out. There were a few that immediately give off comic relief created from lyrics, Chief Keef in the media and even one with him taking phone calls with his rabbit next to his side.
I think the best one’s to check out in my opinion were the “I Got Cheese in my Pocket” by Annie Preece, The “Untitled” piece by MAR, the “300” piece with Chief Keef dressed as a character from the movie 300 and the installation piece that showed a drunken Chief Keef with the words “I Hate Being Sober” tagged above him. (I didn’t see the name of the artists who did those).
